RULES & REGULATIONS – DOCTORS PREMIER LEAGUE 2026

1. Player Eligibility

• Only registered doctors and physiotherapists allowed

• Non-medico = immediate disqualification

2. Match Format

• League: 8 overs

• Knockouts: 10 overs

• Powerplay: First 2 overs

• New ball every innings

3. Reporting & Timings

• Report 40 minutes before match

• Toss: 30 minutes before

• Delay penalties:

  • 5 min → 1 over reduced

  • 10 min → 2 overs reduced

  • 15+ min → Walkover

4. Points System

• Win: 2 points

• Tie: 1 point each

• Walkover: 2 points to present team

5. Super Over Rules

• Team batting second bats first in Super Over

• 3 Batsmen, 1 Bowler

• If tie:
  1️⃣ Most Sixes
  2️⃣ Most Fours
  3️⃣ Least Wickets Lost

6. Batting Rules

• No LBW

• All no-balls → Free Hit

• Runners allowed only for in-match injury

7. Bowling Rules

• Max overs: 2 per bowler (8-over match)

• One bouncer allowed

• Above-waist full toss = No-ball

• Chucking = No-ball

8. Fielding Rules

• Max 5 fielders on leg side

• No sideways movement during delivery

• No distracting noise → No-ball

9. Conduct & Disputes

• Umpire decision = final

• Arguments = walkover

• Abusive behavior = disqualification

• Walking off mid-play = disqualification
